Canvas Hammock – Denim

Recycled denim hammock, handmade in the traditional way by artisans in El Salvador. An ingenious way to repurpose old fabric and a wonderfully comfy spot for summer slumbers. Or if you prefer a spot of reading, it includes a large pocket for a tablet, book or magazine.

Suitable for stringing between two trees, posts, garden walls, or anywhere, so long as the hardware and hanging strings are strong enough to hold the weight of the occupant. The approximate weight limit is 120kg, but please test robustly before use.

To hang, knot one end of a strong rope around a tree/post, and the other around the hammock’s eye. Repeat both ends. Ideally, posts or trees should be 25-30cm further apart than the hammock’s length to pull it taut.

Although the fabric is mildew and fade resistant, avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight and rain which may weaken the fabric and strings. When not in use, bring the hammock indoors. Hand wash with mild soap and water and dry thoroughly before storage.

Body made from 100% recycled denim; wooden bars from radiata pine; strings from cotton-look polyester.
